Week 11: Precedents

At the airport there are a range of check in systems using kiosks with in-built screens.

At McDonalds they have a range of order kiosk touchscreens which enable you scan QR codes from the McDonalds app. The screen above the counter shows customers where in the queue they are and whether their order is being prepared or served. It allows customers to know that their order has been put into the system and can feel reassured that their order is coming. Many people I have talked to have referenced these “McDonald’s screens” and thought it would be good to have something like that to show waiting times.

Image above shows the variety of options, icon on left next to Android pay is NFC technology. Could be a symbol I use on my Notify. card.

Carry. a similar wordmark I found in JBHI-FI on laptop cases looks similar to notify branding.

Looking at the way tablets/ipads can be shown on stands.

Would be good to have a sign or something like this that explains how to use the system. Name, Description and 3 steps.
